Jammu and Kashmir elections: NCP fielded candidates on 3 seats, Arun Raina got a ticket from Rajpura
The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has released its list of candidates for the first phase of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Elections 2024. The party has announced the names of candidates for three assembly seats in Pulwama district. The party has fielded Mohammad Yusuf Hajam from Tral seat, Ishtiaq Ahmed Sheikh from Pulwama, and Arun Kumar Raina from Rajpura.
Nationalist Congress Party's National General Secretary and in-charge of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Brijmohan Shrivastava said that the party's parliamentary board gave its consent to the names of three candidates to contest the elections in Pulwama district, after which the candidate list has been released.
He further said that all these candidates will contest the election on the clock election symbol as authorized candidates of the Nationalist Congress Party. Let us tell you that the Nationalist Congress Party is contesting elections in Jammu and Kashmir for the first time. The party is contesting this election without allying with any other party.
Elections are to be held in three phases for the 90 seats of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly. Under this, voting is to be held in a total of 24 assembly constituencies in the first phase on September 18. The names of candidates for other phases and other related information will be released soon.
