A heartbreaking case has come to light from Nabarangpur in Odisha, where a man first kidnapped a married woman and then took her to Maharashtra. There, the accused physically and mentally abused the victim. Not only this, the woman alleged that the accused forced her to have relations with many people and kept her captive in a house for about 14 days.

Information is given to the husband

According to the information, the woman is a resident of Tentuligaon in the Jharigaon block of the Nabarangpur district of Odisha. The woman alleges that a person from the same village, Vasudev Kalar, forcefully kidnapped her. After this, he took her to Gangapur village, about 170 km from Nagpur in Maharashtra. There, the accused forcibly had physical relations with her and forced her to suffer mental abuse. The accused kept the woman imprisoned in a house for several days. The woman later came to know that he was preparing to sell her. Hearing this, the victim somehow jumped over the wall behind the house and reached a dhaba on the national highway 5 km away. There she called her husband and informed him about the entire incident.

Case registered

After getting information about this incident, the woman's husband immediately contacted Kadambini Tripathi, the president of Matriashray Ashram, and a team of four people led by Kadambini, with the help of the police, reached Maharashtra and got the woman released. After her release, the woman complained about the accused at the police station. She filed a case of kidnapping and rape against the accused Vasudev Kalar. Regarding the case, Kadambini Tripathi, the president of Matriashray Ashram, has demanded the immediate arrest of the accused and strict action to stop the active women trafficking racket behind this incident. The woman's ordeal has once again raised questions about the safety of women in society and the growing threat of trafficking.
