When Eknath Shinde rebelled against Shiv Sena in 2022, he had only 40 MLAs. BJP had the support of 105 MLAs, but the party gave the Chief Minister's chair to Shinde. This was considered a big political gamble of the party.

The election results that are coming now show that BJP is leading in more than 120 seats. Shinde's party seems to be winning around 50 seats. In such a situation, the question arises whether BJP will give the CM's chair to Shinde this time just like in 2022?

Ajit's 30 MLAs are a tension for Shinde

Ajit Pawar's party is also included in the Mahayuti. Ajit himself is a contender for the post of Chief Minister. His party has a lead in about 30 seats. If the trends turn into results, then BJP and Ajit's party together will easily form the government in Maharashtra.

This equation is going to increase tension for Eknath Shinde. This is the reason why Shinde is still staking claim to the CM post, but is talking about taking a decision together.

At the same time, Ajit faction has not yet revealed its cards. It is being said that everything will be finalized by November 25. After this, the exercise of forming the government in Maharashtra will begin.
