Pressure on ICC because of India
BCCI had said that due to security reasons, the Indian government is not in favor of sending its team to Pakistan. According to reports, ICC was going to organize an event on November 11 regarding the schedule of the Champions Trophy, but due to the news of the Indian team not going to Pakistan, ICC had to cancel this program as well. ICC has also come under pressure due to the tussle between PCB and BCCI.
PCB has done this before as well
In 2018, the Pakistan Cricket Board had filed a complaint against the BCCI. In the complaint filed at that time, Pakistan had argued that it had suffered huge losses due to not having any bilateral series with India. Pakistan had demanded $70 million in compensation, but after a three-day hearing, the ICC rejected the Pakistan Cricket Board's application and also imposed a fine of $2 million.
