Two officers who punished the accused in the high-speed Porsche car accident case in Pune, Maharashtra by making him write an essay have been suspended. The investigation revealed that they were negligent. As soon as the report was received, the Shinde government suspended both officers. The dismissed officers had granted bail to the minor accused who crushed two people with a high-speed car, on minor conditions including standing with the traffic police at the intersection for 15 days helping in traffic and writing an essay of 300 words on road accidents, and their solutions.

After this, orders were given to investigate the matter. The Women and Child Welfare Department conducted the investigation. Women and Child Welfare Department Commissioner Prashant Naranware submitted his report to the government on the Pune Porsche case in July. In the report, two officials of the Justice Juvenile Board were found guilty. The state government has suspended them on charges of negligence.

The way the Juvenile Justice Board punished the minor accused in the Pune Porsche case to write an essay and he was immediately granted bail, the criticism of this decision which started on social media turned into a fierce outrage on the streets, after which Naranware was ordered to investigate the allegations of negligence by the board in this case. After a month-long investigation, Naranware admitted in his report that the board member was negligent.

After the death of two people in a road accident, such controversial decisions were against the rules of the board. Now the government has taken a tough stand in this matter and has dismissed two members of the board. LN Dhanavade and Kavita Thorat were accused of misusing their legal power, which was proved right after the investigation and both were suspended.

On May 18, a minor hit two people with his high-speed Porsche car in the Kalyani Nagar area of Pune, Maharashtra. Bike riders Anish Avadhiya and Ashwini Costa died in the accident. The police arrested the car driver and presented him in court. At the time of the accident, the accused was drunk. The court granted him bail on five minor conditions.
