The young man could not celebrate his birthday party- his only fault is this...the family is in pain

Kolkata. 32-year-old Krishnu Chattopadhyay was beaten to death by security guards during a birthday party at Ichhapur Rifle Factory Park in North 24 Parganas district, about 40 km from Kolkata in West Bengal. Two of his friends were seriously injured in the incident. They have been admitted to Barrackpore BN Bose Subdivisional Hospital. Police have started investigating the case.

The security guards attacked just because

The deceased's father Kajal Chattopadhyay, a former employee of Ichhapur Rifle Factory, complained to the Noapara police station. He alleged that the security guards attacked his son only because he was chatting with his friends inside the park.

Police are waiting for the post-mortem report

Barrackpore Commissionerate DC (DD) Ganesh Biswas said, "We have registered a case of unnatural death. The investigation is underway and the post-mortem report is awaited. We are following all legal procedures."

The father said that the son was beaten with sticks while walking in the park

The deceased's father Kajal Chattopadhyay said in his complaint that after having food during the birthday party, my son was chatting with his friends inside the park. Then a group of Defense Security Corps (DSC) soldiers attacked them with sticks. When my son was trying to resist, he was brutally beaten. His friends tried to save him, but they were also beaten badly. In which my son died.

Eyewitnesses gave statements to the police

According to local residents, the deceased youth Krishanu Chattopadhyay and his friends were brought out of the park unconscious and covered in blood and were rushed to the hospital. Krishanu was declared dead, while the condition of the other two friends is said to be critical.
