After getting information about the incident, a police team went to the hospital and a team reached Govind's house.

It is clear that Govinda was injured by a bullet fired from his licensed revolver. But how the trigger was pressed is being investigated. Govinda's brother Kirti said that Govinda was cleaning the revolver after taking it out of the cupboard and it fell down, due to which the fire occurred. CM Shinde spoke to Govinda

Meanwhile, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde spoke to Govinda over the phone. The CM enquired about his health and wished him a speedy recovery. CM Shinde also instructed the hospital authorities to take the best care of Govinda and ensure his speedy recovery.

Govinda issued a statement and told his fans that the doctors have removed the bullet from his leg and with the love of his fans and God's blessings, he is fine. Govinda's manager Shashi Sinha told that Govinda had to fly at 6 am for a program in Kolkata and he was about to leave his house at 4:45 am when the licensed revolver accidentally fired while he was keeping it in the cupboard.
