A case of rape of a minor girl preparing for NEET while living in Kanpur, the industrial city of Uttar Pradesh, has come to light. This incident has been carried out by an ex-boyfriend of the girl. The victim alleges that he called her to his room on the pretext of saying sorry and doing dirty things with her. When she protested, the accused also beat her up.
The victim, who lives in the Rawatpur police station area of Kanpur, said that she is preparing for the NEET exam. Some time ago she had ordered food online. When the delivery boy came with the food, they both became friends. After this, both of them shared their numbers and started talking to each other. The victim says that during this conversation, the accused started luring her with love. When she refused, she argued with the accused and both of them broke up.
According to the victim, after this, the accused called her again on September 6 and called her to his room on the pretext of saying sorry. When she reached the accused's room, he raped her forcefully. According to the victim, when she protested, the accused also beat her up. On the complaint of the victim, the police have registered a case under the POCSO Act and arrested the accused. The accused has been identified as Shobhit Kumar, originally a resident of Sandi Baghrai village of Hardoi. He was living in a rented house in Vinayakpur here.
