Prime Minister Narendra Modi has tried to play the role of a mediator to end the Russia-Ukraine war. The war has now entered its third year, and there are no clear signs of it ending. Recently, PM Modi visited Ukraine, where he met President Volodymyr Zelensky. In this meeting, Modi emphasized the need for peace and said that the solution to the war is possible only through dialogue and diplomacy.

During his meeting with Zelensky, PM Modi had said that India has always been a supporter of peace. Earlier too, he has been talking about peace with both the countries. Meanwhile, special questions were asked from the Ministry of External Affairs regarding this. TV9 asked MEA whether Prime Minister Modi is playing the role of mediator in the Russia-Ukraine war. On this, he said, 'The Prime Minister has said that as a friend, he is ready to make every possible effort to establish peace'.

After Modi visited Ukraine, he also held talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The purpose of this conversation was to promote dialogue between the two countries and discuss possibilities for establishing peace. Zelensky told Modi that he could organize a global peace summit in India, which makes India's role even more important.

India has always played a neutral role, but PM Modi has made it clear that India is in favor of peace. This indicates that India is ready to play a positive role in this conflict.

On the other hand, China, which is a close ally of Russia, is worried about India's mediation. China fears that India's growing global image and influence may leave it behind. America is also keeping an eye on this situation and if China is accepted in this role, it can become a matter of concern for America.
