Netanyahu rejected the ceasefire plan, and the war between Israel and Hezbollah will continue.
Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected the US-France appeal for a 21-day ceasefire. This suggestion was shared to stop the war between Israel and Hezbollah. Due to the bombing in Lebanon, millions of people are forced to leave their homes, and many have been injured and many have lost their lives in this war.
While addressing the United Nations General Assembly in New York, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu refused to accept the 21-day ceasefire plan of the US-France. Netanyahu says that this war will not be stopped under any circumstances and bombing of Hezbollah will continue from his side. Many other countries like Australia, Canada, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar are also in support of the ceasefire proposal.
Just before this address, it was revealed by the Israeli army that Hezbollah drone commander Mohammad Hussein Surour had died in the airstrike. Netanyahu also accepted this.
Why was the ceasefire proposal sent?
Due to the deteriorating relations between Israel and Hezbollah, there is a war going on between them, due to which many innocent people have lost their lives. To stop this situation and establish peace, America-France had proposed a 21-day ceasefire on Wednesday. After the proposal was appealed, Israel did not show much interest in it and now after the statement of Prime Minister Netanyahu, it has become very clear that Israel is not ready to make any kind of compromise.
What were Benjamin Netanyahu's words?
In his address, Prime Minister Netanyahu said that we are continuing to attack Hezbollah with full force and we will not stop until we achieve all our goals, the main of them being the safe return of the people living in the north to their homes. The reaction of Netanyahu and other Israeli leaders like Foreign Minister Israel Katz and Defense Minister Yoav Galant also showed that the country will not stop the war.
More than 150 people were injured in 24 hours
