He made the highest individual score in IPL history while playing against Pune Warriors. Gayle played a tremendous inning of 175 runs with the help of 13 fours and 17 sixes in that innings.

Actually, the record for scoring the most runs in an IPL match is in the name of Chris Gayle. In IPL 2013, Gayle scored an unbeaten 175 runs in just 66 balls with the help of 13 fours and 17 sixes. Thanks to Gayle's innings, Royal Challengers Bangalore scored a huge score of 263 runs. In reply, Pune Warriors could score only 133 runs and lost by 130 runs. AB de Villiers also performed excellent batting for RCB and scored 31 runs in just 8 balls.

If we look at the top five highest individual scores in the IPL, Gayle is followed by Brendon McCullum, who scored 158 runs for Kolkata Knight Riders. McCullum achieved this feat against Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2008. In third place is Quinton de Kock, who scored an unbeaten 140 runs for Lucknow Super Giants in 2022. De Kock dominated the bowlers of Chennai Super Kings. AB de Villiers is in fourth place, he has scored 133 unbeaten runs.
