IPL 2025 Auction: Regarding money... Rishabh Pant broke his silence on not being retained in IPL, and told the truth to the whole world
IPL Auction 2025: Rishabh Pant was not retained by Delhi Capitals before IPL 2025. Pant has been part of the franchise since 2016. He was retained before every season but the team released Pant before the mega auction of 2025. Now Pant has revealed the reason for this.
Delhi Capitals did not retain Rishabh Pant before the IPL 2025 auction. Pant was the captain of the team and is considered as the best wicketkeeper in the world. Even after this, the franchise did not retain him. Now Pant will participate in the mega auction of IPL 2025. Before that, there were constant speculations as to why Rishabh Pant parted ways with Delhi Capitals.
There may be a talk about money between Pant and Delhi
Former Indian team captain and legendary batsman Sunil Gavaskar thinks that Delhi and Pant may have parted ways due to money. He said on Star Sports, 'Sometimes when a player has to be retained, there is a talk about the fee between the franchise and the player. As you saw some players who have been retained got more money than the number-1 retention fee. So I think maybe there was some disagreement there (between Pant and Delhi), but I think Delhi will want Rishabh Pant back because they also need a captain.'

Pant has been a part of Delhi since the beginning
Rishabh Pant has been playing in the IPL since 2016. He made his debut for Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals). Pant has been retained in every auction since then. In the 2021 season, the franchise made Pant its captain. Even after missing a season due to a car accident, the franchise retained him.
