'It is because of Rohit bhai...', Mohammad Siraj broke his silence on not being included in the Indian team for the Champions Trophy, the statement created a stir

Mohammed Siraj on Rohit Sharma: Mohammed Siraj has made a big statement which has made headlines among the fans. Siraj has given his opinion on not being included in the team for the Champions Trophy.

Mohammed Siraj on Champions Trophy snub:  Mohammed Siraj was not selected in the Indian team in the Champions Trophy. In such a situation, now Siraj has talked about this and said something that has made headlines. Siraj was selected as a non-traveling reserve for the tournament, but in the end he was not needed as India won the tournament. The bowler said that playing for India gives him a lot of confidence before making his debut in Gujarat Titans (Mohammed Siraj in IPL 2025 )  . Siraj claimed that he knew that the Indian team management and Rohit Sharma would do this for the betterment of the team. 

Siraj said about this, "When you play for the country, you get a lot of confidence. As an international player, you always want to play in ICC events. Initially, I could not digest that I was not a part of the team. (Mohammed Siraj on Rohit Sharma) Rohit Bhai also does what is best for the team and that is why he did this. He has so much experience and he knew that fast bowlers would not be of much use on that track. He knew that spinners would prove useful and that is why he decided to ignore me." 

Siraj claimed that he improved his bowling and fitness during the Champions Trophy break. The pacer claimed that since he had been playing for so long, he was not aware of his mistakes. According to Siraj, the most important thing was that he saw India finally win the Champions Trophy.

The Indian bowler further said, "For a long time I was playing continuously.. so I used the break to work on my fitness and bowling. When you are playing you don't realize your mistakes. So it was a good break and we managed to win the Champions Trophy title, that was the biggest thing"

On the other hand, Siraj did not bowl very well in the match against Punjab Kings in the fifth match of IPL 2025. Siraj conceded 54 runs in 4 overs and failed to take wickets. But Siraj is confident that his bowling will be seen in the upcoming matches.
