A mother appealed to cricketer Virat Kohli for help for her son who was released from jail. A young man named Rituparna Pakhira from a village in West Bengal went to the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata to watch the first match of the IPL, but got carried away by his emotions and broke the security barrier and jumped onto the field where Virat Kohli was batting. And he immediately fell at Kohli's feet, after which the security personnel immediately caught him and handed him over to the police.

When the police questioned him, he said without hesitation, "Virat is God for me. I can do anything for him." Hearing these words, the people present there were shocked, because this boy was devoted to Virat like a devotee.

Rituparna, who hails from Partal-2 village in Bardhaman district of West Bengal, was a huge fan of cricket. Now after being arrested by the police, Rituparna's mother Kakali Pakhira told the media, "Virat is my son's God, and he made this mistake because of his emotions. I appeal to the Kolkata Police to forgive him." 

Rituparna was granted bail after three days of detention, but now she has been barred from entering the Eden Gardens during this year's IPL.
