Aadhaar Card: By now you must have withdrawn money from UPI using ATM, Bank and don't know which payment service.

Do you know that Aadhaar Card can also be used to send money? Through this, you can transfer money from your account to another person's account. This is done through the Aadhaar-Enabled Payment System or AePS. This system has been developed by NPCI. This system allows people to send money using Aadhaar Card, Iris Scan, and Fingerprint Verification. This system is called a secure payment system.

To send and receive money through Aadhaar, your bank account number should be linked with your Aadhaar number. You do not need OTP or PIN to withdraw your money. You can link any number of accounts with one Aadhaar card.

AePS can help you with money withdrawals, money deposits, Aadhaar-to-Aadhaar fund transfers, mini-bank statements, e-KYC-based finger detection, etc.

Here's how you can use AePS:

  • Visit the Banking Correspondent of your area.
  • Punch in your 12-digit Aadhaar number in the OPS machines.
  • Choose between services like Withdrawal, KYC, Balance Enquiry, Add Funds, etc.
  • Punch in the name of your bank and enter the amount you want to withdraw.
  • Verify your identity with biometrics and collect cash.
