The Ayushman Bharat scheme provides free medical treatment to economically weaker persons across the country. Under this scheme, free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh is available in all hospitals. To avail of the benefits of this scheme, one has to apply and after approval, an Ayushman card will be issued. The entire cost of this scheme is borne by the Central Government. If you have not received your Ayushman card yet, here is how you can easily apply for the scheme.

Where to get the card:

According to the information available on the website of Ayushman Bharat Yojana, you can apply for the scheme by providing government identity documents like an Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Driving License or Voter ID at the Common Service Centre, Lok Seva Kendra or UTI-ITSL centres. Eligibility verification also needs to be done, and if you qualify for the scheme, you can get the Ayushman card. Apart from this, you can also get an Ayushman card with the help of employment assistants and ward in-charges in villages. Once you have the card, you can avail free medical treatment by showing it during hospitalization.

Online Application:

Online application can be done in two ways – by visiting the official website and downloading the Ayushman Bharat App. To access the website, visit beneficiary.nha.gov.in. Enter your phone number and an OTP will be sent for verification. After logging in, select your state, scheme name, district and ration card number. Once you have entered your Aadhaar details, you can apply for the card. Apart from the website, you can also apply through the Ayushman Bharat App. Download the app, log in using OTP and other verification methods and fill in the required details. After submitting the form your application will be completed.
