The objective of this agreement is to improve the quality of diabetes care in India and promote research in the field of diabetes. This will enable diabetic patients to get high-quality health services. Under this agreement, NABH and RSSDI will work together to develop the best clinical guidelines for diabetes management and ensure high standards in the field of healthcare.

Important steps taken

Diabetes has become a serious health problem in India. According to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, more than 250 million people in the country are affected by diabetes. In view of this growing problem, the agreement between NABH and RSSDI aims to conduct the management of this disease in an effective manner. Clinical and digital health standards will be followed for better treatment and care of diabetes, so that patients get the best outcomes.

Will implement digital health standards

Under the agreement, NABH and RSSDI will together implement the latest digital health standards for diabetic patients. This will help patients and doctors to use new technological tools and guidelines. In addition, the best clinical guidelines for diabetes management and research will be developed leveraging the expertise of RSSDI. These guidelines will ensure that patients with diabetes get scientific and evidence-based treatment.

High standards of accredited clinics

Under this agreement, NABH and RSSDI will ensure that accredited diabetes clinics adhere to the highest standards. This will include education, research and guidelines-based care programmes for patients. Along with this, these clinics will provide personalized care by modern technology and trained doctors, so that patients can achieve their health-related goals. The ministry also said that this partnership will help in raising NABH standards for allopathic clinics, thereby providing high-quality care to patients.

Role of RSSDI

RSSDI, which represents over 12,000 diabetes care specialists in the country, will play its key role in this agreement. RSSDI will actively promote NABH's allopathic clinic standards certification across its member base to ensure that standards of diabetes care are high across the country, the ministry said.
