Ingredients:

For Besan Omelette:

1 cup gram flour

1/4 cup finely chopped onion

1/4 cup finely chopped tomato 1/4

cup finely chopped capsicum (optional)

1 green chili, finely chopped (optional)

1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

1/2 teaspoon red chili Powder (optional)

1/2 tsp cumin powder

Salt to taste

Water as needed

Cooking oil

For the Sandwiches:

Bread pieces

Butter or mayonnaise

Sliced ​​tomato

Sliced ​​cucumber

Lettuce

Tomato ketchup or any chutney of your choice

Instruction:

In a mixing bowl add gram flour, chopped onions, tomatoes, capsicum, green chilies, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, salt, and water. Whisk well to make a smooth batter. Its consistency should be similar to pancake batter.

Heat a non-stick pan or wok on medium heat. Sprinkle some oil and spread it evenly on the pan.

Pour a ladleful of gram flour batter on the pan and spread it in a round shape similar to a pancake or omelet.

Cook the gram flour omelet for a few minutes till it turns golden brown from the bottom. Flip it gently with the help of a ladle and cook on the other side as well till it turns golden brown. Remove from pan and keep aside. Repeat the process to make more besan omelets depending on the number of sandwiches you wish to make.

Take a slice of bread and spread butter or mayonnaise on one side. Place the gram flour omelet on top.

Add chopped tomatoes, cucumber and lettuce leaves over the omelet.

Apply tomato ketchup or any sauce of your choice on the other slice of bread and place it on top of the sandwich, sauce side down.

Press the sandwich gently. You can trim the edges if you want.

Repeat the process to make sandwiches.

Cut the sandwich diagonally in half or into the desired shape.

Serve Besan Omelette Sandwich as a breakfast or lunch option.
