Bharwa Karela is a popular Indian dish made of bitter gourd stuffed with spices. Here's a simple recipe to make Bharwa Karela at home:

Ingredients :

6-8 small to medium-sized bitter gourds

1 cup base

1/2 cup chopped onion

1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves

1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste

1 tsp cumin seeds

1 tsp red chili powder

1/2 tsp Turmeric powder

1/2 tsp Garam masala powder

1/2 tsp Dry mango powder

Salt to taste

Wash the bitter gourd and remove the skin with the help of a peeler. Cut off the top and scrape out the seeds from the inside. Keep them aside.

In a mixing bowl, add gram flour, chopped onion, chopped coriander, ginger-garlic paste, cumin, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, dried mango powder, and salt. Mix well.

Stuff the mixture into the bitter gourds, pressing gently to fill the empty space.

Heat oil in a pan on medium heat. Put the stuffed bitter gourd in the pan and fry till it turns golden brown from all sides.

Lower the flame, cover the pan, and let the bitter gourds cook for 10-15 minutes or till they turn soft.

Serve hot with roti or rice.
