Recipe: Make Mango Burfi at home during mango season, it tastes amazing!

Aam ki barfi is a popular Indian dessert made with mango puree, milk powder, sugar, and ghee (butter). Learn here how you can make it at home.

Ingredients:

2 cups mango puree

2 cups milk powder

1 cup sugar

1/4 cup ghee

1/4 tsp cardamom powder

pistachios or almonds for garnishing

Instruction:

In a heavy-bottomed pan, heat ghee on medium heat.

Add mango puree and sugar and stir till the sugar dissolves.

Add milk powder and cardamom powder, and stir continuously till the mixture thickens and starts leaving the sides of the pan.

Remove from heat and let the mixture cool for a few minutes.

Grease a square or rectangular tray with ghee and pour the mixture into it. Spread it evenly and smooth the surface with a spatula.

Garnish with chopped pistachios or almonds and let it cool completely.

When the mixture is completely cooled, cut it into small squares or diamonds.
