1/2 teaspoon red chili powder

In a large mixing bowl, mash the remaining cooked rice with your hands to break up any lumps.

Add gram flour, chopped onions, green chilies, coriander leaves, cumin seeds, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt to the mashed rice.

Mix all the ingredients well to make a thick and sticky mixture. You can add a little water if required to bind the mixture together.

Heat oil in a deep frying pan on medium heat.

Take small portions of the rice mixture and drop them into the hot oil using your hands or a spoon. Fry the pakoras in batches till they turn golden brown and crisp.

Remove the fried pakodas from the oil using a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.

Serve hot and crispy rice pakoras with chutney or ketchup as a tea-time snack or a delicious appetizer for parties.
