Then the praise that Ravana sang to please Lord Shiva is called Shiva Tandav Stotra. The place where Ravana was buried is known as Rakshas Tal.

The word Tandav is derived from the word 'Tandul', which means to jump. Tandav requires strength and buoyancy, which strengthens the mind and intellect. Only men are allowed to perform the Tandav dance. Women are not allowed to achieve orgasm.

It is best to recite Shiv Tandav Stotra in the morning or at the time of Pradosh. First of all, bow down to Lord Shiva. Offer incense, lamp, and naivedya to them. After this chant Shiv Tandav Stotra. It is best if recited with dance. After the recitation, meditate and worship Lord Shiva.
