Apart from this, it is said in Vastu Shastra that there are some specific works for morning and night. These things are less noticeable but very important. According to Hindu mythology, people should avoid doing certain activities during the night or at the time of sunset to seek the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi. Hence, we bring you a list of things that you should never do after sunset.

What not to do after sunset

1. Cutting or combing your hair

It is believed that women should not cut or comb their hair after sunset. Also, they should not sleep with their hair open. It is said that women who do this work at night are affected by negative energy.

2. Don't wash the dishes

Hindu mythology states that one should keep their kitchen clean before sleeping, but if they are unable to do so, they should keep the dirty utensils somewhere else instead of in the kitchen. A kitchen is an auspicious place in any house and there should not be any dirty things in it. It is also believed that people who sleep leaving dirty utensils in the kitchen face poverty and misfortune.

3. Don't Donate

Charity is considered auspicious in Hinduism. On the other hand, it is also believed that donating things like milk, sugar, or salt at night is considered inauspicious. By doing such practices, a person may have to experience financial constraints and instability in life.

4. Don't bite your nails

We all must have heard our mothers telling us not to bite our nails at night. Popular beliefs say that Goddess Lakshmi visits homes during the night and cutting hair and nails is considered as offering dirt to the Goddess, which should be avoided at all costs.

5. Don't clean your house

Sweeping the house in the morning with a broom is considered auspicious, on the other hand sweeping the house at night brings bad luck. Mother Lakshmi does not reside in the house where cleanliness is done after sunset.
