First of all, you have to open WhatsApp.

Now you have to click on the Update tab.

Come to the menu button on the top right corner.

You have to click on Status Privacy.

Choose one of the last two options.

With the Only Share With option, make a list of those people with whom you want to share your status.

If you want to share your status with most of the people in your contact list, then use My Contacts Except. On this option, select two or four people from whom you want to hide your status.
