The opening ceremony will start on 26th July at 7.30 pm as per Paris time, i.e. you can watch it from 11 pm as per Indian time. According to the choreographer of the ceremony Maud Le Pledek, dancers will be present on every bridge. Every time the athletes participating in the Olympics used to march on the track. This time around 10500 athletes will be seen marching on the Seine river riding on 100 boats. In the end, the event will be officially started by lighting the Olympic torch.

The 6 kilometre long parade on the Seine River will start from the Austerlitz Bridge and will pass through the famous cathedral church Notre Dame and the Louvre Museum to the Jardin des Plantes. The parade will also pass by some of the Olympic venues.
