Nita Ambani has long been known for promoting Indian heritage globally, and once again, she proved why she is considered a true ambassador of Indian craftsmanship. At a recent event organized under Reliance’s Swadesh brand initiative, Nita Ambani arrived in a stunning blue sari, instantly becoming the center of attention. The event saw the presence of several well-known celebrities, including Sonam Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, and Janhvi Kapoor.

Nita chose a Swadesh Banarasi sari and paired it with a uniquely designed Manish Malhotra blouse. Her jewelry, selected from her personal collection, added a rare and royal charm to the ensemble.

The saree in peacock blue

The event, held at the Swadesh store in Eros, was meant to honour Indian artists and artisans. Fittingly, Nita Ambani wore a peacock-feather blue Banarasi sari crafted by Swadesh. The saree featured intricate peacock motifs woven with traditional zari and detailed Meenakari work, showcasing the richness of Indian handloom artistry.

The special Manish Malhotra blouse

Complementing the saree was a Manish Malhotra-designed blouse that stood out for its craftsmanship. It featured a Polki border and hand-crafted buttons engraved with deities and cultural symbols. At the back, vintage spinel tassels — taken from Nita Ambani’s personal collection — added an exclusive touch to the blouse.

100-year-old antique jewellery

Nita Ambani’s accessories were just as noteworthy as her attire. She wore antique Kundan Polki earrings that are more than 100 years old. A handcrafted bird-shaped studded ring from Swadesh enhanced the elegance of her ensemble. The most sentimental piece, however, was the floral hand ornament, lovingly preserved from her mother’s jewellery collection — a priceless heirloom that added emotional depth to her look.

Makeup and hairstyle

Nita opted for a classic beauty look. Her hair was styled softly with loose front strands and a graceful bun at the back, adorned with white flowers. Her makeup featured luminous skin, a gentle pink blush, light pink lipstick, and a traditional red bindi — completing a look that was regal, graceful, and rooted in tradition.
