2026 Skoda Slavia Facelift Set for a Big Upgrade: Fresh Design, More Features, and New Automatic Gearbox Expected

Skoda is preparing to give its popular premium sedan, the Slavia, a major refresh. According to media reports, the 2026 Skoda Slavia Facelift could make its India debut around mid-August 2026, possibly close to Independence Day. While the company has not officially confirmed the launch date or pricing, test sightings suggest the updated sedan will receive notable design and feature upgrades.

The facelift is expected to make the Slavia more premium while retaining its strong performance credentials.

Fresh Exterior Styling

The biggest visual changes are likely to be seen at the front of the car. The facelifted Slavia is expected to feature:

  • A larger and redesigned front grille
  • Sportier front bumper
  • Updated LED headlamps with new lighting elements
  • Revised LED daytime running lights (DRLs)

At the rear, the sedan may get:

  • Redesigned LED tail lamps
  • Illuminated Skoda logo on the tailgate
  • Updated rear bumper
  • New 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels

These updates are expected to give the sedan a sharper and more modern appearance.

More Premium Cabin

While the overall dashboard layout is likely to remain familiar, the cabin could receive several enhancements, including:

  • A new interior colour theme
  • Upgraded seat upholstery
  • Larger 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster
  • Improved infotainment experience

Some reports also suggest features such as a panoramic sunroof, rear-seat massage function, and Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). However, these additions have not been officially confirmed.

Same Engines, New Automatic Gearbox Expected

Mechanically, the Slavia Facelift is expected to continue with its existing turbo-petrol engine lineup:

  • 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine: Around 115 bhp and 178 Nm of torque
  • 1.5-litre TSI petrol engine: Around 150 bhp and 250 Nm of torque

The biggest mechanical update could be the introduction of a new 8-speed automatic transmission, replacing the current 6-speed automatic. Manual and DSG (dual-clutch automatic) gearbox options are expected to continue.

Expected Price

The current Skoda Slavia is priced between ₹10 lakh and ₹19.12 lakh (ex-showroom). With additional features, updated styling, and technology upgrades, the facelifted version is expected to carry a slightly higher price tag.

What to Expect

If the reported updates make it to production, the 2026 Skoda Slavia Facelift could offer a more stylish design, a richer feature list, improved technology, and an enhanced driving experience. Official specifications, pricing, and launch details are expected to be announced closer to its debut.
