SMAT 2025: In the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025, the last group match was played between Goa and Maharashtra in Kolkata on Monday, in which Prithvi Shaw failed.

Kolkata: The final matches of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025 were played in all groups on Monday. Arjun Tendulkar was once again absent from Goa's playing eleven against Maharashtra in Kolkata. In Arjun's absence, Goa's bowling lacked sharpness. While in-form Prithvi Shaw failed to capitalize on this, Rahul Tripathi thrashed the Goa bowlers. Rahul was released by Mahendra Singh Dhoni's Chennai Super Kings before the IPL 2026 auction, but he managed to find form at the last minute in this match, attracting everyone's attention. Rahul played a brilliant innings of 83 not out off 44 balls, laced with fours and sixes. Maharashtra posted 161 for 7 in 20 overs against Goa. Goa, chasing the target, has lost 4 wickets in scoring 45 runs in 8 overs till the time of writing the news.
