After the success of the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise, Kartik Aaryan is reportedly gearing up to reprise his popular role as Rooh Baba once again. Reports suggest that preparations for "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4" have already begun, with the makers moving ahead with the early stages of development.

According to reports, the screenplay for the fourth installment is currently being written. Following the blockbuster performance of "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3," producer Bhushan Kumar is said to be backing the new film, with the team focusing on developing a strong script before officially locking in the director.

If everything goes according to plan, "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4" is expected to arrive in theatres in the second half of 2027. The report also states that filming is likely to begin sometime in 2027, although the production schedule has not been officially announced.

The franchise began in 2007 with Akshay Kumar in the lead and Vidya Balan playing the iconic character Manjulika. The second installment, featuring Kartik Aaryan as Rooh Baba, was released in 2022, while "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3" hit theatres in 2024 and went on to become the highest-grossing film of the franchise.

Director Priyadarshan helmed the original film, while Anees Bazmee directed the second and third installments. Reports suggest Bazmee is the frontrunner to return for the fourth film as well, though the makers are expected to make an official announcement only after the screenplay is finalized.

While fans are excited to see Kartik Aaryan don the Rooh Baba avatar once again, the makers are yet to reveal the film's full cast or announce when production will officially begin. An official confirmation is now eagerly awaited.
