Frequent call drops, voice breaks, or poor call quality can be frustrating, but reporting such issues has now become much easier. The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has relaunched its MyCall app with a redesigned interface and several new features that allow users to directly share feedback about their mobile calling experience.
The regulator says the updated app will help telecom operators identify network issues faster and improve the quality of voice calling services across the country.
TRAI Introduces Upgraded MyCall App
TRAI has revamped the MyCall app to create a direct feedback channel between mobile users and telecom service providers. The app enables users to rate the quality of their voice calls and report technical issues they experience during conversations.
By collecting real-time feedback from consumers, the regulator aims to provide telecom companies with accurate data about network performance and areas that need improvement.
Rate Every Call and Report Network Problems
The updated MyCall app allows users to rate their recent voice calls on a 1 to 5-star scale. Along with ratings, users can also report specific problems, including:
-
Call drops
-
Voice interruptions
-
Audio delay
-
Echo during calls
-
Cross-connections
-
Poor voice clarity
This information will help telecom operators identify recurring issues and work towards improving their network quality.
Consumer Feedback Will Reach Telecom Operators
Speaking during the launch, TRAI Chairman Anil Kumar Lahoti said the MyCall app will serve as an important tool for consumers to share their real-world calling experience.
According to TRAI, all feedback submitted through the app will be forwarded to the concerned telecom service providers. The companies will analyze the reports and take corrective measures wherever required to enhance voice call quality.
Available on Google Play Store
TRAI has encouraged mobile users to download the MyCall app from the Google Play Store and provide feedback after their calls. The regulator believes that greater public participation will generate more accurate data, enabling telecom companies to identify problem areas and deliver better network performance.
For users who regularly face call drops or poor voice quality, the updated MyCall app offers a simple way to report issues and contribute to improving mobile calling services across India.
