The Petroleum Ministry has issued new rules for gas. LPG gas cylinders will no longer be available in areas where there is a PNG connection. LPG gas cylinders will not be available in that area from July 1. Apart from this, a direct rule has been issued that those who have both LPG and PNG connections should close their LPG connections. In houses which have both LPG and PNG connections, the LPG supply will be stopped forever from July 1. They will have to use only PNG. The government has asked for the list of people who have both the connections. According to the new rules, no person will be able to take both LPG and PNG connections.
Therefore PNG connection is required
If there is a PNG gas pipeline in your city, area, or neighborhood, residents are required to obtain a PNG connection. If there is a PNG line within 300 meters of your home, customers can obtain a connection within a week. They will have to pay up to 6,000 rupees for a new connection.
Otherwise, take a PNG connection.
PNG connections are available in many cities across the state, including Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, and Pune. However, despite the availability of PNG, LPG cylinders are still being used in many places. All those customers have now been given a deadline of July 1st. If you don't get a PNG connection, LPG cylinder bookings will be stopped. If there's a PNG line in your area, get one as soon as possible. You can use Green Gas or an online portal to return LPG.
Focus on stopping the black market
Domestic LPG supplies are normal, and the government has claimed there is no shortage. However, according to residents, gas cylinders priced at ₹925 are being sold in the black market for ₹2,000 to ₹2,500. Furthermore, there is a severe shortage of commercial gas cylinders. In many places, commercial gas cylinders are being sold in the black market for ₹6,000 to ₹7,000. The government has taken concrete steps to curb this black market.
