Ranveer Singh is ready to storm into theatres as Dhurandhar. His much-awaited action film, directed by Aditya Dhar, releases on December 5. Ahead of its launch, the makers have unveiled the official trailer — a power-packed glimpse that’s already creating huge buzz. Ranveer looks every bit as menacing as Sanjay Dutt, while R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Akshaye Khanna also appear in intense, hard-hitting avatars. There is already talk of a sequel arriving next year, but before that, the trailer itself demands all the attention.
The 4-minute, 7-second trailer of Dhurandhar exceeds expectations. There’s no over-the-top gore, no needless action — everything is sharp, controlled, and gripping, exactly what Aditya Dhar is known for. The villains look terrifying, with Sanjay Dutt’s dialogue delivery leaving a strong impact. But the loudest cheers come when Ranveer Singh enters the frame, as the film’s counter-attack on Pakistan is presented with full force.
How is the Dhurandhar trailer?
The trailer opens with Arjun Rampal. He recalls, “After the 1971 war, Pakistan was in deep sorrow. I was six, listening to the radio. That day, Zia-ul-Haq said something that stayed with me: Bleed India with a thousand cuts.” In front of him lies a brutally beaten man. Rampal plays Major Iqbal (ISI), a powerful figure who controls Pakistan’s political chessboard. The story is based on true events.
Ranveer Singh then enters Pakistan on a mission of real vengeance. R. Madhavan appears as Ajay Sanyal, a sharp member of Indian Intelligence, delivering the punchy line, “To break a mouth, you need to close your fist.”
Akshaye Khanna joins the narrative as Rehman Dakat — a cold-blooded, butcher-like killer tied to a major Pakistani political party, using it as a front for darker operations. Sanjay Dutt, dressed in a white kurta-pyjama, arrives as SP Chaudhari Aslam — dangerous, intense, and unpredictable.
Ranveer Singh stands against all of them. The trailer keeps things straightforward, giving viewers a clear introduction to every major character, while still keeping the core plot cleverly hidden. It’s a smart move by the makers, building curiosity without revealing too much.
