With 2025 nearing its end, the film industry has already locked several major release dates for 2026. The biggest box office battlefield is shaping up for Eid 2026, where four heavyweight stars are expected to clash. The most talked-about among them is Yash, whose upcoming film ‘Toxic’ is already generating massive buzz.
Yash announces ‘Toxic’ for Eid 2026
Yash was the first to officially announce his next film Toxic for Eid 2026. The film is being directed by Geetu Mohandas and is positioned as a high-budget pan-India project with several Bollywood actors joining the cast. This will be Yash’s first major release after the blockbuster success of KGF Chapter 2, making expectations extremely high.
100 days to release: Yash’s new look goes viral
Recently, the makers released a fresh glimpse of Yash from ‘Toxic’ to mark 100 days until release. The poster showed his long hair and a mysterious tattoo on his back, though his face was kept hidden. The film is scheduled to hit theatres on March 19, 2026. Sharing the look, Yash wrote, “This fairytale will unfold after 100 days.” Fans have reacted with massive enthusiasm across social media.
Yash to play Raavan in ‘Ramayan’
Apart from ‘Toxic’, Yash will also be seen next year in Ramayan, where he plays Raavan. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor in the lead and is slated for a Diwali 2026 release. Yash is also co-producing the film, increasing his creative involvement in the project.
Triple clash threat on Eid 2026
Alongside ‘Toxic’, two more big films are eyeing the Eid 2026 release window. One of them is Dhurandhar 2, which could bring Yash into direct box office competition with Ranveer Singh. Given the massive hype around ‘Dhurandhar’, the clash could impact collections for both films.
Ajay Devgn’s ‘Dhamaal 4’ enters the race
Adding to the clash, Ajay Devgn has already locked Eid 2026 for Dhamaal 4. While the Dhamaal franchise has always performed well at the box office, concerns remain as two of Ajay Devgn’s recent films underperformed. Releasing a comedy amid multiple mega-budget action films could be a risky commercial move.
Salman Khan’s ‘Battle of Galwan’ may also shift to Eid
Salman Khan has completed shooting for his upcoming war drama Battle of Galwan, directed by Apoorva Lakhia. Salman plays an Indian soldier in the film. Though it was earlier expected to release in July–August 2026, fresh reports suggest the makers are now considering an Eid release. If confirmed, this would turn Eid 2026 into one of the biggest box office clashes in recent Bollywood history.
Industry experts warn that if all these films arrive together, it could result in heavy financial pressure on exhibitors as well as severe distribution clashes, potentially hurting more than one big project.
