The Ministry of Women and Child Development (WCD) has launched a special two-month WCD internship (paid internship for women in India), for which applications can be made until December 10. Women selected for this internship will receive a monthly stipend of 20,000 rupees (government internship with stipend 20,000 rupees).

This internship will take place between February and March 2026. The objective of the scheme is to connect women from small towns and rural areas with government processes, schemes and grassroots work, so that they can become self-reliant and further avail opportunities in the government and social sector.
How to apply?
The entire application process is online. Interested women can visit the ministry's website and fill out the form until 12 midnight on Wednesday, December 10th. Please note that new participants will be accepted each year, so once you have already joined this internship, you will not be able to apply again.
What work needs to be done?
In this two-month internship, women will get an opportunity to connect with many important government schemes.
- Save the girl child, educate the girl child

- In many places, interns will have to survey ongoing schemes and understand how government assistance reaches rural families.
Who can apply?
- Only women aged 21 to 40
