A 27-year-old girl, Saajal Vijay, committed suicide by hanging herself at home on the night of November 30th. However, her parents have now filed a case against her fiancé and his parents. Following the incident, the woman's body was handed over to her family after a post-mortem examination. No case was filed at the time.

Saajal's marriage was arranged with Naman, a software engineer from Bhopal. They were already engaged, but the wedding was scheduled for December 11th. The family was busy preparing for their daughter's wedding; cards had been distributed. All the shopping had been done, and the girl's family had even purchased all the dowry items. However, 10 days ago, the daughter's suicide caused a stir. Before any joy could arrive, the family was plunged into mourning.

The girl's father told what was bothering his daughter.

In a police complaint, the girl's father stated that Saajal had spoken to her fiancé for about 20 minutes around 10 p.m. on the night of the incident. During this time, Naman pressured his daughter, saying they would have to have a grand wedding and spend a lot of money on the wedding. Saajal said they would do whatever their father could afford. However, Naman retorted, "Now that the engagement has taken place, the wedding will have to be the way we want it." After this, Saajal became stressed and committed suicide that same night.
