Salman Khan Ends VIP Culture
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has taken a unique initiative regarding food on the set of his film "Battle of Galwan." Now, everyone on his film sets—whether stars, technicians, or unit workers—is served the same food. This move to end long-standing food inequality is setting an example in the film industry. Learn more recreation center Salman Khan launched his mobile kitchen, "Being Haangryy" to make this change possible. This kitchen is completely free and no fees are charged. Earlier during the pandemic, Salman Khan launched a food truck service with the same name, delivering rations and food to frontline workers across the country.
Food trucks become mobile kitchens
Five years later, these food trucks have been upgraded and converted into mobile kitchens. According to a Mid-Day report, Salman has completely customized two vans, which are now used on the sets of his films. These vans not only serve hot food but also have cold storage facilities, allowing for the safe storage of large quantities of ingredients.

Salman's resolve to end discrimination
On film sets, three types of food are usually prepared: one for the stars, another for the technicians and heads of department, and a third for the rest of the unit workers. Salman was always bothered by this difference. This is why he implemented a new rule during the shooting of 'Sikandar' and has now extended it to the set of 'Battle of Galwan' as well. In a way, Salman has ended the VIP culture on film sets, just like PM Modi did by banning vehicles with red beacons.
Catering for 500 people, these mobile kitchens employ two cooks in a shift and offer a menu ranging from dal-rice, seasonal vegetables, fish curry, sandwiches, potato-peas, fenugreek vegetable to mutton biryani. Food can be prepared for up to 500 people at a time, ensuring nutritious, fresh food for the entire unit. Salman Khan is using these vans not only in his films but also on the sets of 'Bigg Boss' to ensure that all members have access to delicious food with equality and respect.
