Maruti Brezza 2026 Bookings Open: New Features, Updated Design and Possible Turbo Engine Make It Ready for Launch

After months of anticipation, Maruti Suzuki has officially started bookings for the 2026 Brezza in India. The updated compact SUV is scheduled to launch on July 23, and customers can reserve it by paying a token amount of ₹11,000 through Maruti Suzuki Arena dealerships or the company's official website.

The new-generation Brezza is expected to arrive with refreshed styling, upgraded technology, and possible mechanical improvements, making it more competitive in the crowded compact SUV segment.

Bigger Touchscreen and Premium Cabin Features

The biggest updates are expected inside the cabin. The upcoming Brezza may replace the existing 9-inch infotainment screen with a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen system.

The SUV is expected to continue offering wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while higher variants could receive additional premium features such as:

  • Connected car technology

  • Automatic climate control

  • Wireless charging

  • Cruise control

  • Head-up display

These upgrades are aimed at giving the Brezza a more modern and feature-rich cabin experience.

Updated Exterior Design

The 2026 Brezza is also expected to receive styling changes. The front profile could get a redesigned bumper and grille, along with updated LED lighting elements.

New alloy wheel designs and additional colour options may also be introduced to give the SUV a fresher appearance.

New Gearbox and Improved CNG Setup

One of the major expected mechanical changes is the addition of a 6-speed manual gearbox, replacing the current 5-speed manual transmission.

The Brezza is expected to continue with the existing 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, available with manual and automatic transmission options. The factory-fitted CNG variant is also likely to remain part of the lineup.

The updated CNG version could feature a better tank placement underneath the vehicle, helping preserve boot space and improving practicality for everyday users.

Reports also suggest that Maruti Suzuki may introduce the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine from the Fronx, although this has not been officially confirmed.

Launch and Competition

The Brezza has been one of Maruti Suzuki's most successful SUVs since its introduction in 2016. The company has sold more than 14 lakh units of the model in India over the years.

With its updated design, improved features, and possible engine upgrades, the 2026 Brezza will continue competing against popular compact SUVs including Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Skoda Kylaq, Renault Kiger, Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor, and Maruti Suzuki Fronx.

With bookings now open, buyers are eagerly waiting for the official launch and complete details of the updated Brezza.
