A shocking incident in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, late Monday night left the entire city on edge. A young man was shot dead in public by local miscreants, creating widespread panic. The victim collapsed on the spot, drenched in blood, while the attackers fled immediately after the shooting. Majhola police reached the scene and rushed the injured youth to Sai Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

As soon as news of the death reached the family, emotions spiralled out of control. Relatives and locals created an uproar outside the hospital and attempted to block the road. The victim’s mother, crying for justice, stood in front of a bus and even tried to climb onto it, causing further chaos. The family placed the body on the road, leading to a long traffic jam outside the hospital. The standoff lasted for nearly 20 minutes before senior police officials managed to pacify the crowd and clear the route.

According to initial reports and eyewitness statements, the deceased has been identified as Prince Chauhan. The deadly confrontation stemmed from a small accident. The accused allegedly rammed Prince’s scooter, after which an argument broke out between the two groups. The verbal spat quickly turned violent. Witnesses stated that while one of the accused held Prince, others attacked him. In the midst of the scuffle, one of them pulled out a pistol and fired at Prince’s chest. He collapsed instantly, and the group fled.

Police Response:

Following the murder, the police launched an intensive manhunt. Five special teams have been formed to track down the attackers, and raids are being conducted at multiple locations. A forensic team has examined the crime scene and collected critical evidence, including blood samples, soil soaked in blood, and fingerprints. CCTV footage from nearby shops is also being reviewed to reconstruct the sequence of events.

Officials believe that there has been long-standing tension between the two groups involved, with previous minor clashes reported. Police have stated that the accused will be arrested soon.
