An incident similar to the Nirbhaya case has occurred in Atkot, Rajkot district, Gujarat. The accused attempted to rape a six-year-old girl. When he failed, he inserted a rod into her private parts. The girl has been admitted to a hospital in Rajkot.

Police interrogated approximately 100 suspects to identify the accused. He was later identified as Ramsingh Tersingh and arrested. The accused is from Alirajpur, Madhya Pradesh.

Girl kidnapped

The accused tried to rape the girl by gagging her. When she screamed, he inserted a sharp rod-like weapon into her private parts. After committing the crime, the accused fled, leaving the girl bleeding.

The girl is undergoing treatment in the hospital

When the family searched for the girl, they found her nearby, lying in a pool of blood. Seeing her critical condition, the family immediately rushed her to a hospital in Rajkot. The girl is currently undergoing treatment.

What did the police say?

Rajkot Rural Superintendent of Police Vijay Singh Gurjar said that the police formed about 10 teams and began searching for the accused. About 100 suspects were interrogated. Then, about 10 accused, along with a child specialist, were presented to the girl, where she identified the main accused, 30-year-old Ram Singh Tsering.

The accused works as a mason in Atkot, Gujarat. He has a daughter and two sons. He was arrested in a field near the scene of the incident.

What is the Nirbhaya case?

Nirbhaya was gang-raped by six men in Delhi on December 16, 2012. An iron rod was inserted into her private parts. When Nirbhaya's condition deteriorated, she was taken to Singapore for treatment on December 27, where she died on December 29 at Mount Elizabeth Hospital.
