A magnificent and extremely rare idol will soon be installed at the Ram Lalla temple complex in Ayodhya. The idol, which shines like gold and is adorned with diamonds, emeralds, sapphires, and other precious stones, was donated by an anonymous devotee from Karnataka. The idol arrived in Ayodhya from Karnataka on Tuesday evening.

The statue, approximately 10 feet tall and 8 feet wide, is estimated to cost between 25 and 30 crore rupees (approximately $1.5 million USD). It is crafted in the traditional South Indian sculptural style. According to Dr. Anil Mishra, a member of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, the donor's identity is still being verified. The statue is being weighed, but it is expected to weigh approximately 5 quintals.

The statue is proposed to be installed at Angad Tila, located near the Saint Tulsidas Temple. Prior to the installation, the statue will be formally unveiled, followed by a consecration ceremony. Saints and religious leaders from across the country will be invited to attend this sacred event.

The idol was brought from Karnataka to Ayodhya in a specially designed vehicle, covering a distance of approximately 1,750 kilometers over five to six days. It was unveiled inside the Ram Temple complex on Tuesday at around 3:30 p.m. According to sources, the idol was commissioned by several devotees from Karnataka and carved by highly skilled artisans from Thanjavur. Although the idol is studded with gold and gemstones, the metal used has not yet been officially confirmed.

This statue is an exact replica of the original Ram Lalla idol installed at the Ram Janmabhoomi site. The use of gold, along with precious stones such as diamonds, emeralds, and sapphires, enhances both its grandeur and spiritual appeal.

To commemorate the second anniversary of the Ram Lalla Pran-Pratishtha ceremony, special religious programs will be held from December 29 to January 2. Pratishtha Dwadashi will be celebrated on December 31. Following the groundbreaking ceremony at the Angad Tila complex, preparations are already underway, including the construction of the stage, tents, and decorative arrangements. Scheduled rituals will include Ram Abhishek, Divya Shringar, Pavitra Bhog, and Prakatya Aarti.
