Real estate agent murdered in broad daylight in Hyderabad
Venkat Ratnam, a real estate agent, was hacked to death in broad daylight in Hyderabad on Monday. The 54-year-old was attacked while returning from dropping his daughter at school.
It is being told that the main suspect in this case is Chandan Singh, son of Sudesh Singh, who was killed in a controversial police encounter in 1999.
Murder due to 26 year old enmity
Sources reveal that Chandan Singh believed Venkat Ratnam had acted as an informant in his father's encounter. Ratnam was Sudesh Singh's driver at the time. According to the accused's confession, this alleged betrayal fueled a 25-year-old desire for revenge in Chandan Singh.
According to reports, Chandan Singh spent the intervening years searching for Venkat Ratnam, who had then moved in with his family in the Jawahar Nagar area of Hyderabad.
After locating the victim in recent weeks, Chandan allegedly stalked her for the past month and hatched a plan to kill her.
