    With his 75-run knock, Rohit Sharma became the highest-scoring Indian opener against South Africa in international cricket, going past Sachin Tendulkar’s 1734 runs.

  2. Went ahead of Virat Kohli
    Rohit Sharma became the first batsman in the world to average 50 or more in 12 different ODI calendar years, breaking Virat Kohli’s record of doing it in 10 years.

  3. Completed 20,000 international runs
    When Rohit reached 27 runs in the Vizag innings, he completed 20,000 international runs, becoming only the fourth Indian to do so after Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, and Virat Kohli.

  4. Completed 5,000 ODI runs in India
    During the same innings, he also crossed 5,000 ODI runs on Indian soil, joining Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli as the only Indians to reach this mark.
