Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor is preparing for a major phase in his career, with several big-budget projects lined up over the next few years. Although none of his films have released after 2023, 2026 is expected to be a defining year for the actor. His upcoming projects include Love and War and Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayan Part 1, which is slated to release on Diwali 2026. Before that, Ranbir will complete work on Ramayan Part 2 and then move on to the much-anticipated sequel of Animal, titled Animal Park.

Even before the shooting of Animal Park begins, an important casting update has already excited fans. Actress Saloni Batra has confirmed that she will be returning in the sequel.

Saloni, who recently received widespread appreciation for her performance in the Amazon MX Player web series Bhay, revealed in an interview that she is indeed part of Animal Park. Speaking about the sequel, she said that since audiences loved Animal, the makers are keen to continue the same style of intense, action-packed cinema. She added that such films work well both for entertainment value and at the box office.

In the first part, Animal, Saloni Batra played the role of Reet, Ranbir Kapoor’s on-screen sister and a member of Ranvijay’s family. Her character featured prominently in the opening portions of the film, although her screen time was reduced in the second half. Despite this, her presence was noted by viewers. The film went on to become a massive commercial success, grossing around ₹915 crore worldwide.

Talking about her journey in the industry, Saloni also reflected on the challenges she has faced. She shared that her career has seen many ups and downs and that there has been no straightforward path. Coming from a non-film background, she admitted that the journey can be intimidating at times, but it has also been a valuable learning experience.

With Animal Park now officially confirmed to feature Saloni Batra once again, anticipation around Ranbir Kapoor’s action-packed sequel continues to grow. Fans are eager to see how the story expands and what new layers the sequel will bring to the Animal universe.
