Telangana Rising Global Summit Draws Major Investments, Set to Generate 40,000 Jobs

The Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025, held on December 8–9 in Hyderabad, witnessed a surge of investment commitments across multiple sectors. The tourism sector alone attracted proposals worth ₹7,045 crore, which are expected to create nearly 40,000 jobs in the state—10,000 direct and 30,000 indirect. The summit focused on accelerating capital growth and productivity to help Telangana move toward a $3 trillion economy, while also exploring opportunities to boost the startup ecosystem.

Significant attention was given to the film and entertainment industry. After meeting with leading film personalities, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced that the government is prepared to extend all necessary support to strengthen the industry. He added that new studios will be facilitated in Bharat Future City, which is expected to generate substantial employment.

Film industry participation
The session titled “Creative Century – The Future of the Entertainment Sector” saw participation from several major names in Indian cinema. Among those attending were Megastar Chiranjeevi, Allu Arvind, Dil Raju, Suresh Babu, Shyam Prasad Reddy, Riteish Deshmukh, and Genelia, who shared insights on future opportunities for the entertainment sector.

Zoo to be built in Future City
A major announcement came from the Vantara team, led by Reliance Chairman Mukesh Ambani. Vantara signed an MoU with the Telangana government to establish a zoo in Future City, ensuring that all world-class facilities available at Vantara in Gujarat are replicated here. The project is expected to generate additional jobs in the region. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy stated that he will visit the Gujarat Vantara site later this month.

Large-scale investment in the power sector
The summit also saw unprecedented investment commitments in the power sector. In a single day, MoUs worth ₹2 lakh crore were signed, largely focused on pump storage projects. The inaugural ceremony at Bharat Future City was attended by Governor Jishnu Dev Varma, Union Minister Kishan Reddy, and dignitaries from several countries. Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Revanth outlined Telangana’s long-term development roadmap, noting that investments in the energy sector will create significant employment opportunities.

MyHome announces ₹7,000 crore investment
MyHome Power also announced plans to invest ₹7,000 crore in the state, an initiative expected to create 12,500 jobs. Discussions with several other companies are ongoing, indicating that more large-scale investments may follow.
