Akshay Kumar is currently in the news for the horror comedy film Bhoot Bangla. This film marks his return to director Priyadarshan's collaboration after 14 years. But you may recall that in 2016, Akshay Kumar's major film, Crack, was announced, with director Neeraj Pandey's name on its first look poster.

Crack was scheduled for a 2017 release date. Even after a decade, there have been no updates on the film, and it hasn't been released. In addition to Crack, the Akshay Kumar-starrer Gorkha, directed by Aanand L. Rai, was announced for 2021. The film's first look poster was also released.

But no information has been released on this film for five years. This clearly proves that Akshay's Crack and Gorkha have been shelved and will never see a big screen release. There were reports that Akki had personally abandoned Gorkha, however, there has been no official confirmation of this.
