The teaser of Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor, recently created massive buzz, but not all reactions were positive. While fans were excited to see the first glimpse of this ambitious project, many viewers expressed disappointment with the VFX shown in the teaser. The visual quality quickly became a topic of debate online, raising questions about whether the film would meet expectations.
Now, Yash, who plays Ravana in the film and is also a co-producer, has addressed these concerns. Speaking about the criticism, he clarified that the visuals seen so far are not the final version. He explained that the film’s VFX is still under development and will continue to be refined until the final release. According to him, the team is focused on delivering high-quality, photorealistic visuals, and improvements are being made continuously.
Yash also highlighted the involvement of DNEG, a globally renowned VFX studio known for its Oscar-winning work. The studio has previously worked on films like Inception, Interstellar, Dune, and Blade Runner 2049, all of which were praised for their visual excellence. By mentioning DNEG’s track record, Yash reassured audiences that the final output of Ramayana is expected to be far superior to what has been seen in the teaser.
When asked whether he had watched the complete film, Yash shared that he has seen a substantial version of it. However, he emphasized that the makers are still working on improving every aspect, including the visuals, until the last moment. His statement suggests that the film is still in an evolving stage, with ongoing enhancements aimed at delivering a polished final product.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana features a strong cast, including Sai Pallavi as Sita, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman. The film is planned as a two-part epic, with the first installment scheduled for release on Diwali this year and the second part set to follow next year.
Overall, Yash’s response makes it clear that the criticism has been noted, but the team remains confident. With significant work still underway, the makers are aiming to deliver a visually impressive and cinematic experience that lives up to the scale of the story.
