In a thrilling encounter, India's Harmanpreet & Co booked their place in the semi-finals of the Asian Champions Trophy 2023 after beating defending champions South Korea 3-2. Nilakanta Sharma, Harmanpreet Singh, and Mandeep Singh scored three goals for India.

The Indian team took a 1-0 lead at the beginning of the match by scoring the first goal in the sixth minute by Nilakanta Sharma. However, the Korean team did not allow India to maintain this lead for long, and in the 12th minute, Manje Jung scored a goal to equalize the score at 1-1. The Indian team appeared to be playing an attacking game throughout the match.

The Indian team got two penalty corners before halftime, out of which Harmanpreet took advantage of one corner and scored. Harmanpreet made no mistake and hit the ball inside the goalpost to increase India's lead to 2-1. After this, in the 33rd minute of the match, Mandeep Singh scored another goal to make lead of the Indian team 3-1.

South Korea made several attempts to score, but the team could not find success. However, South Korea scored their second goal of the match in the 58th minute from a penalty corner. After this, the Indian defense did a good job and did not allow South Korea to score any more goals.
