Birthday Special: Venkatesh Prasad has been in the headlines due to a spat with Pak cricketer Sohail!

Today is the birthday of former Indian fast bowler Venkatesh Prasad. Venkatesh Prasad, who opened the Indian attack with the new ball along with Javagal Srinath, was born on this day i.e. August 5, 1969. Venkatesh Prasad had achieved many big achievements in his international cricket.

He has been in the limelight for his spat with Pakistan opener Amir Sohail in the 1996 World Cup. In the knockout round of the 1996 World Cup, the teams of India and Pakistan came against each other. A heated argument between Amir Sohail and Venkatesh Prasad was witnessed in the match played at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

In the 15th over of the match, Sohail tried to provoke by hitting a four off Venkatesh Prasad. During this, Sohail pointed to his bat and talked about playing the shot once. Sohail was bowled on the next ball. Venkatesh celebrated this wicket fiercely.
