Dhananjay de Silva has achieved a big achievement in his 50th Test match. He scored the tenth century of his Test career on the second day of the first Test match against Pakistan. Thanks to his innings, Sri Lanka scored 276 runs in their first innings losing seven wickets till the time of writing the news.
Dhananjay D'Silva is at the crease after scoring 116 runs. He played this innings in 208 balls with the help of 11 fours and three sixes. Dhananjay de Silva shared a 131-run partnership for the fifth wicket with former captain Angelo Mathews (64) on the first day. Sri Lanka recovered from a poor start to score 242 for six at the stumps on the first day.
The Sri Lankan team had lost four wickets for 54 runs at one time. Mathews hit nine fours in his 109-ball innings. All-rounder Dhananjay de Silva then shared a 57-run partnership for the sixth wicket with wicketkeeper Sadeera Samarawickrama (36).
