ICC CWC 2023- Hardik Pandya injured in the match against Bangladesh, doubtful about playing in the World Cup

In a major blow to the Indian cricket team's campaign in the ODI World Cup 2023 , star all-rounder Hardik Pandya suffered a serious injury during the match against Bangladesh. The incident came during Pandya's crucial spell , shocking fans and raising concerns over his participation in the tournament.

During the match against Bangladesh, Hardik Pandya was bowling his first and ninth over of the innings. The over took a serious turn when he was hit for two consecutive fours in the first three balls. While attempting to block the third shot , Pandya badly twisted his ankle , causing considerable pain and discomfort.

Despite the pain , Pandya showed tremendous determination and attempted to continue bowling. His pain was clearly visible on his face, which was affecting his run-up. Physiotherapists were called to the field , but despite efforts , Pandya was unable to play any further , eventually being forced to leave the field.

In Pandya's absence , team captain Virat Kohli stepped in to complete the remaining overs , demonstrating the team's unity and resilience in adverse circumstances.
